Time to explore the outdoors with Tākaro. This game is incredibly simple yet entertaining and fun for the whole whānau!

Each card features a number of symbols, focusing on our beautiful ngāi kīrehe (fauna) and ngāi tipu (flora) that players will need to memorise and learn.

Players then flip over two cards, competing to find the matching symbols; the first player to call out the correct translation wins the round.

The aim of the game is to come away with a better understanding of te reo Māori and to promote confidence within yourself, expanding your vocabulary.
